Prs Dgt Flame 10 Top Electric Guitar With Bird Inlays Black Gold Burst

$4000

The DGT (David Grissom Trem) is the result of more than 20 years of collaboration between Paul Smith and David Grissom. The DGT is based on the McCarty with a unique DGT neck shape, taller frets, special pickups, and a revised control layout. Grissom and Paul spent a year A/B-ing more than forty sets of pickups before nailing the vintage-voice of DGT humbuckers. When paired with individual volume controls for each pickup and a push/pull master tone control that operates the coil taps, DGT pickups provide versatility and articulation.

The DGT is a product a lot of miles down the road: a lot of gigs, a lot of records. Prs Mccarty 594 Figured Maple 10 Top With Nickel Hardware Electric Guitar Black Gold Wrap Burst

$4200

The McCarty 594 is a vintage-inspired instrument that is at once incredibly familiar and effortlessly playable. Whether you are looking for rich, authentic, vintage humbucking tones or nuanced, sweet singlecoil sounds, the McCarty 594 can seamlessly master both sonic territories thanks to the 58/15 LT pickups and push/pull coil taps on the tone controls. The electronics layout, a few key specifications, and PRS craftsmanship combine in the McCarty 594 to create an instrument that plays in tune, is intonated the entire length of the neck, and feels like a guitar that youve been playing forever.

A few key specifications that contribute to the McCarty 594s tone and feel are:

A 24.594 scale length, just slightly longer than 24.5 and where the model gets its name
58/15 LT pickups. LT meaning low turns, which give this guitar a sweet lower-output tone
2 volume and 2 push/pull tone controls positioned so players can roll off both volume knobs at the same time, and with the added versatility of coil splits for more tonal options
A new Pattern Vintage neck carve. This neck carve shares the same width measurements as PRSs Pattern neck, but is slightly thicker front to back and features an asymmetrical carve with a little less meat on the treble side, a little more on the bass side of the neck
Tweaked Phase III tuners that have an added set screw to pull the tuners shaft, gear, and worm together, but with the tuner button taken out of play, to promote tone transfer from the string directly into the guitar itself with as little energy as possible being detracted
Twenty six of these instruments will be made for February 2016, commemorating Private Stocks 20th Anniversary

The 594 is the best new guitar I've played in years. It has a vintage heart and soul but without the technical limitations that usually come along with an old instrument. PRS McCarty Carved Flame Maple Top Bird Inlays Black Gold Wrap Burst

The PRS McCarty model pays homage to a legacy of innovation. As the President of Gibson during a true golden era of guitar building (1950-1966), Ted McCarty was a pioneer of the electric guitar and musical instrument industry. In the late 1980s, Paul Reed Smith called on Ted to consult with him on guitar design and production techniques. He not only served as Pauls mentor but became a great friend of Paul and everyone he met at PRS. In 1994, PRS released the first McCarty, an instrument that incorporated the full spectrum of techniques and knowledge Paul had gained from Ted as well as his own experiences as a guitar builder. It is in honor of Ted McCartyhis knowledge, his friendship, and his memorythat PRS reintroduces the McCarty model. The PRS McCarty model features a slightly thicker back for enhanced tone and sustain and the new 58/15 treble and bass pickups, which were personally designed by Paul Reed Smith. 58/15s are a vintage style pickup with exceptional clarity and focused midrange. Additional appointments include a push/pull tone control with a 3-way toggle pickup switch for a complete palette of tones, a bound rosewood fretboard, and PRS stoptail bridge.Body

Body shape: Double cutaway

Body type: Solid body

Body material: Solid wood

Top wood: Carved flame maple

Body wood: Mahogany

Body finish: Gloss

Orientation: Right handed

Neck

Neck shape: Pattern

Neck wood: Mahogany

Joint: Set-in

Scale length: 25 in.

Truss rod: Standard

Neck finish: Gloss

Fretboard

Material: Bound Rosewood

Radius: 10 in.

Fret size: Medium

Number of frets: 22

Inlays: Birds

Nut width: 1.687 in.
